Prospective DIS

Interested in doing a DIS (Directed Individual Study) in social psychology?

 

The Plant Lab provides hands-on opportunities for motivated and conscientious FSU undergraduates to assist with various aspects of the research process. We also provide important support for our DIS students interested in or preparing for graduate school.

Lab Application

Required qualifications for prospective DIS:

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student at time of participation

  • Taken or enrolled in Social Psychology at time of participation

  • Able to attend Friday lab meetings (1:30 - 2:30pm EST)

  • Able to commit 9-10 hours per week to the course (on average)

  • Psychology major (minors also considered)

Preferred (but not required) qualifications for prospective DIS:

  • Overall GPA of 3.0+ (and/or Psychology GPA of 3.25+)

  • Taken or enrolled in Research Methods at time of participation
